Yoga improves flexibility, physical and mental strength and concentration. It brings a feeling of grandeur and calm. Annie believes that Yoga is as beneficial as meditation. In fast, she sees it as another form of meditation! Yoga is a way to fully experience the present moment and to become aware of our physical, emotional and mental bodies. It allows us to clear our mind in order to better live our own truth.
Annie practices a combination of yoga style to allow the body and mind to flourish; Hatha-Yoga and Vinyasa Flow Yoga. These two practices consist of a series of very simple and more complex postures (asanas in Sanskrit). Both are suitable for everyone; there are simply different levels depending on whether you are a beginner or more experienced in yoga. Unlike Vinyasa flow, in Hatha yoga the postures are maintained for a certain time. Annie combines breath control (pranayama) and concentration. Vinyasa flow is a movement synchronized with breathing. Annie gets you to explore the power of breathing in a series of movements that make you dance gently from one pose to another in rythm with inhalation and exhalation.
Annie continues to teach stretching, in 9 lessons, in St-Hyacinthe. A stretching course which was given by Dorothée Lavoie, will be continued by Annie. These follow-up courses will be offered on Tuesdays starting January 21 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. To reserve your place and have information contact Annie.
These courses are given in groups or individually. What happiness!
Annie also teaches yoga classes to children at « École Saint-Vincent-Ferrier » in Adamsville and « Curé A. Petit » School in Cowansville.
